Marola: Goddess of Flesh and Fertility (RS 2023)

Here is the character I designed and created for the 2023 RS challenge, Marola: Goddess of Flesh and Fertility. When given the brief, the theme of "Ethereal Grace" stuck out to me the most and generated many ideas that I brainstormed through.  Eventually, I stumbled upon the idea of adding a twist element of cosmic and body horror, and the challenge I created for myself was to marry these two opposing concepts. Leading me to Marola, an abstract character whose maternal nature and kind heart can not entirely distil the unease generated when looking upon a higher cosmic being.
